On the 4th March, Rachael received a Diana Award at Stormont for fund raising for Daisy Hill Hospital and for various cancer charities. Rachael has been ill for four years and wanted to give something back by raising funds for good causes through raffles and cake sales, raising over £4000 in the process.
Ms Bridget McConville had entered Rachael for the award earlier in the year and we were delighted that she was nominated to receive this well deserved award.
Rachael has always been very generous and considerate of charities and people that needed help.
Rachael has been battling cancer for four years and wanted to give something back by fundraising for her local hospital and cancer charities. She has organised fundraising events; raffles and cake sales and as a result she has raised a lot of money for charity. Rachael is brave, courageous and a tremendous role model, showing others how to make the most of life.
