Head Boy & Head Girl 2012/13
Every academic year St Paul’s offers an opportunity to students in Year 14 to join the Senior Prefect Team. Two of the successful candidates will also be put forward by their peers and staff members for the position of Head Boy and Head Girl and this year’s successful candidates were Ciaron O’Hanlon and Afreen Ahmed. Both Ciaron and Afreen will act as representatives of the school at social and academic events.
We caught up with both Ciaron and Afreen to find out some information about them.
Head Boy: Ciaron O’Hanlon
What’s your favourite part of St Paul’s High School?
‘I love the general buzz about the school. Its as if everyone loves going to school, which is probably the main reason. The teachers also play a big part in why I love coming to school each day. They always try to help you, even if it had nothing to do with the subject they teach.’
How would you Describe yourself in 3 words?
‘Humorous, Outgoing, Trustworthy’
What is your favourite subject at St Paul’s?
‘My favourite subject is History, but unfortunately I wasn’t much good at it, so I decided to do triple award Btec Sport and I am enjoying it very much’
What would you classify your taste in music to be and who would be your favourite artist?
‘I love listening to music. My favourite genre of music would be R’N'B. My favourite artists at present are Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, Taio Cruz and Flo Rida.’
Head Girl: Afreen Ahmed
What’s your favourite part of St Paul’s High School?
‘My favourite part about St Paul’s is how its such a close school. By this I mean everyones achievements are acknowledged and appreciated. Its a school where everyone seems to get along well, them being both teachers and students. It’s a school that you don’t mind coming to every morning.’
How would you Describe yourself in 3 words?
‘Dedicated, Outgoing, Trustworthy’
What is your favourite subject at St Paul’s?
‘My favourite subject is chemistry. I think my interest came mainly from my teacher and I hope to pursue a career in it.’
What would you classify your taste in music to be and who would be your favourite artist?
‘I love listening to music. I like anything acoustic and one of my favourite artists is Ed Sheeran.’
