Under 16 Team progress to Herald Cup Semi Final

Gaelic Football, Herald Cup, Sport, Students, Success

Played at Pearse Óg GFC in Armagh, St Paul’s played against the wind in the first half, and with a great work ethic St Paul’s went in leading at half time by four points.

Half time: St Paul’s Bessbrook 0-10 St Patrick’s Keady 1-3

The second half was also a very close encounter. St Paul’s were never behind in this game, but a goal in the second half by Keady meant there was only 2points in the game with five minutes to go.

St Paul’s however found the urgency that they required and a goal late on killed the game and St Paul’s went onto win and progress to the semi final of the competition.

Full time: St Paul’s Bessbrook 1-17 St Patrick’s Keady 2-9

Pictured above is the St Paul’s Under 16 boys team that beat St Patrick’s Keady in the Quarter Final of the Herald Cup.
